The Annual Classic Car Show in Grand Marais is Saturday, June 13th. Here we combine the shine, color and sleekness of classic cars and trucks with the rugged beauty of Lake Superior's North Shore. Viewing is by our picturesque harbor, and the trophy presentations and BBQ are at Harbor Light Supper Club. It's a great day for classic cars, spectacular scenery, time with family and friends, great restaurants and shopping, all in Minnesota's favorite summer destination.

Youth Patriotic Essay Contest

Topic: "What patriotism means to me."
Guidelines:

• Not to exceed 150 words in the 4-6 grade category
• Not to exceed 300 words in the 7-9 grade category & 10-11 grade category.
• Deadline for submitting entries is July 1, 2009
• Please provide the following information with your entry (on a seperate page):
  • Youths name, age, grade;
    Parent's name, address, phone or email address (for notification of winners.)
• One entry per youth.
• All entries are to be original (not copied from other works.)
• Short quotations may be used from other sources.
• $50 Cash Prize and Certificate Awarded in each category.
